Splash pad, sanctuary re-open today

CITY OF ELLIOT LAKE

Kiwanis Splash Pad to re-open Saturday, June 20. The splash pad passed recent inspection by the Algoma Public Health and splash pads are specifically permitted in the province’s description of phase 2.

Social distancing rules remain in effect. If crowds become too large the city may need to implement other measures to manage the risk and respect existing orders.   

Play structures and skate parks remain closed by order of the province. Team sports and scrimmages where social distancing is impossible such as basketball are not permitted in Phase 2  

Sherriff Creek Sanctuary has reopened including the parking area. Rio Algom Ltd has completed maintenance work in the area and the trails in the sanctuary are open. Please respect social distancing and posted signs.
